AMA School Safety Patrol – Valentine’s Day contest

Contest Rules

The AMA School Safety Patrol Love of Patrolling Valentine’s Day contest (the “Contest“) is being held by the Alberta Motor Association (“AMA”). School Safety Patrollers have a chance to win one of 60 individual prizes and 3 school prizes.

CONTEST DATES

The Contest will begin on February 2nd, 2026, 12:00 am MST (“MST”) and will close at 11:59 am MST on February 27th, 2026 (the “Contest Period“).

WHO CAN ENTER

Each person who participated as a School Safety Patroller (a “Patroller”) during the 2025-2026 school year may enter this Contest.

HOW TO ENTER

A Patroller can enter the Contest (create an “Entry”) by fully and honestly completing and submitting the online Entry Form, which includes survey questions about the Patroller’s experience with the AMA School Safety Patrol Program. Each Patroller may only submit a maximum of one (1) Entry into this Contest.

PRIZES

A total of sixty (60) individual prizes (each an “Individual Prize”) and three (3) group prizes (each a “School Prize”) will be awarded in this Contest.

The Individual Prizes are Indigo gift cards. Each Indigo gift card has a value of twenty-five dollars ($25.00)

Each School Prize is a pizza party for the School Patrollers at their school. The dollar amount of a School Prize may vary by size of school. A school is eligible to win a School Prize if five (5) or more Patrollers from that school submit a valid Entry into this Contest.

AWARDING OF PRIZES

A random draw will be held within five (5) days after the Contest Period. All Entries properly submitted during the Contest Period have an equal chance of winning. Chances of winning are dependent on how many Entries are received into this Contest and in each Pool. Prizes will be drawn in the following order:

Sixty (60) Entries will be selected from all Entries and the Patroller named in these Entries will each be winners of an Individual Prize.

Three (3) Entries will be selected from all eligible Entries and the Patroller’s school listed on the Entry will win a School Prize unless that school is not named in at least five (5) Entries in the Contest, in which case a new Entry will be selected until three (3) School Prizes are properly awarded.

AMA will contact each Individual Prize winner’s patrol supervisor by email. If, for any reason, it is not possible within a ten (10) day period to contact a Prize winner, despite customary diligent efforts, AMA reserves the right to disqualify that Entry and select another Entry submitted by random draw as the winner for that Prize.

Likewise, AMA will contract each school that has won a School Prize to arrange to provide the pizza party for the School Safety Patrollers at that school.

A school cannot win more than one School Prize in this Contest. All prizes must be accepted as described: No substitutes. The prizes may only be accepted by the prize winners and may not be transferred to any other person(s) prior to being awarded.

While an Individual Prize may be delivered to the parent or guardian of a Individual Prize winner, the Individual Prize is intended to be used by, and for the benefit of, the Patroller who is the Individual Prize winner.
